Rick Ward, former guitarist for "Satisfaction...A Rolling Stones Experience," entered into rest on Thursday, April 8th, 2004 after a short battle with liver disease. Rick portrayed the legend of Keith Richards with all of his heart and soul while he was a part of this show. I honestly believe Keith himself would have been proud to see Rick in action. Rick Ward leaves with us many outstanding memories for family and friends to cherish forever. The band would like to express their most heart felt condolences to Rick's family and especially to Tash, the woman whom he truly loved, and who never left his side through this battle. A memorial concert is being planned in his honor in Bossier City, Louisiana on Sunday, May 16th at Cash Point Landing.
Rick's final show was on Friday, February 20th in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Rick had been ill for several days on tour, but after a night in a Bradenton hospital he suddenly felt recharged to play again. I clearly recall him walking into the sold out show hearing the crowd chant..."Keith...Keith"...while many reached out to touch him. Rick took the stage, strapped on his Telecaster and removed his sunglasses to see the crowd waiting in anticipation. I'll never forget the grin on his face as he tore into the opening chords of "Street Fighting Man." On his final show someone from above gave him the strength to carry on and the glory of the crowd to leave him with a wonderful memory of what he loved to do.
We love you Rick... Chris, Jerry, Albert, Michael, Allen, our families, friends and fans of "Satisfaction...A Rolling Stones Experience" www.rollingstoneshow.com
I'll be going to see the Satisfaction band on July 31st for the first time. I will be taking photos and interviewing the band for Stones Planet. Should be fun! They are playing the Butler County Fairgrounds in Prospect, PA. Hope to see some other fans there!

Got my "Satisfaction" on Saturday night. Catch their show if you get the chance, they play all over the USA. What a great bunch of guys and they did an awesome set. My favorite was Can't You Hear Me Knocking. I will have some photos on the Shrine soon, as well as in the next issue of Stones Planet (Autumn). Thanks guys for a great show (and for the beer Although I was pretty tired after getting to bed at 5am
