I don't believe Keith was running that website because of what ultimately happened to me. In January I was asked by the website to "pay" the fee to continue using the e-mail. I paid the fee. No more than 4 weeks later...without warning, I couldn't access my e-mail!! I checked my e-mail daily... I thought something was wrong. However, my son brought to my attention that it says "free website" AND there was no longer an area to retrieve my e-mails. There was no contact information and again, there was nothing posted to tell us "gather your info - cuz the site will be inaccessible" Nothing. Keith would probably flip his lid about the bad business move of charging his fans and then "without warning" closing up access to their e-mail. I was proud as heck to have my e-mail listed as crazymama@keithrichards.com. I used this as my PRIMARY source of e-mails. For those of you who deal with e-mail alot, you know what that means and what having it suddenly go "poof" means as well. I put all my friends e-mails in the system there, and lost them. I kept special e-mails from my brother, who died last year, in the stored e-mail folders. Keith should know about this. I, a #1 fan, feel ripped off by these con-artists! Not a good feeling. Being the type of man I believe Keith to be, he'd actually be pissed off as hell that this rip off was done in his name. So if someone reading this can pass this alert Keith or "his people"... do so; as it wasn't right. If you're reading this and have had the same thing happen to you, please contact me at donnaj19632003@yahoo.com. I love my man Keef and don't want to see his name associated with such a scam. Even if the website couldn't afford to go on, all they had to do is notify those who had their e-mail accounts set up so they had enough time to make other arrangments and copy their important e-mails elsewhere. Again, I LOVE MY MAN KEEF... but hey, I work hard for my money - and feel ripped off. Help.

Donna, I will pass this info along to Keith's management, as it was his management office running the website. I have not heard why the decision to stop the membership fee and was not aware that the email feature was done away with. Sorry you had a bad experience and I'll let you know if I hear anything.

I had an e-mail account, too, at this site and was so proud to have such a unique e-mail address. Now it seems to be lost, shame.

And I thought it was so cool that KeithRichards.com was now free... I hadn't set up an email account with them so no problem for me but this is still not right.

Reminds me of the problems with RollingStones.com and the Licks tour concert tickets. I can't imagine Keith letting, let alone instructing his management to rip off the fan community. Please do keep us posted about any info available, Lena.
